Please speak with your company’s human resources department for details. St. Pius X School accepts all matching gift forms from companies who match employee donations. Planned Giving

Gift planning can maximize your support for St. Pius X School and the students we serve while achieving your personal financial and philanthropic objectives.

Here are long-term giving options to the St. Pius X/ St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Education Endowment Fund:

Outright Gift of Cash or Appreciated Securities:

These gifts assure maximum benefit to St. Pius X School and minimum immediate income tax deduction for you based on current fair market value.

Charitable Bequest in a Will or Trust:

These gifts enable you to retain total control of your assets during your lifetime. Deferred gifts in wills or trusts should incorporate our full legal title and our federal identification number. A stated bequest in your will can benefit our Catholic School and be a fitting memory and lasting tribute to you or a loved one.

Gift of Life Insurance:

You may convert existing or new policies into a charitable gift. Cash value in current or paid up life insurance policies can benefit Catholic education. Naming St. Pius X School as beneficiary of life insurance proceeds can be a means of making a future major gift. You may even designate a percentage of gift.

Charitable IRA Rollover for Donors Age 70 ½ or Older:

Recent legislation extends opportunities for traditional or Roth IRA owners age 70 ½ or older to make direct, tax-free transfers to St. Pius X School up to $100,000. To make a charitable gift from an IRA, donors should contact their IRA trustee or custodian and notify our office of your plans so we may ensure proper transfer and receipt of your gift.

Matching Gifts:

Check with your employer’s personnel or benefits office to see if your gift will qualify for a matching gift from your company.

Whatever method you choose, the St. Pius X School staff will work with you, your attorney or investment advisor to ensure that your requirements are met. You can rest assured that the Endowment Investment Committee of the Archdiocese of Dubuque will use their expertise to carefully manage your gift.
