Can and Bottle Redemption
St. Pius X Catholic School is starting a can and bottle redemption program. This has the potentional to be a significant fundraising opportunity for our school.
There are 2 convenient ways to redeem your cans and bottles:
1. Our school has an account established at the Can Shed. Simply take your cans and bottles (any item with a redemption) to the Can Shed and tell the clerk how much you would like to donate to St. Pius X Catholic School. Any amount of your refund can be donated…1.00 or 100%. It is best to call them for their current hours before driving over there. They are located at 4121 16th Ave SW in Cedar Rapids, 366-1300. Their current hours of operations are: Mon. thru Fri. 7:00 am to 6:00 pm - Closed Sat /Sun.
2. During the school year, we will be scheduling a monthly “drop off” event at school. This will be in the parking lot, not inside the school. DO NOT drop off cans or bottles at the school other than these monthly events. Scheduled dates will be on the school calendar and announced in advance in the weekly bulletin.
