Reading Specialist

A  full-time reading specialist is on staff at St. Pius X School to help teachers diagnose reading strengths and weaknesses and match these skills with appropriate techniques and materials for those students who have been identified as being in need of additional instruction.

The reading specialist works with children individually or in small groups based on the student’s needs.
